Selecting the right jean styles for my ‘ideal closet’ is a very important task. I mean, the perfect pair of jeans are vital ~ they are comfortable, incredibly versatile, modern, and durable. Good jeans are not cheap, but certainly worth the money as they serve us for years without losing shape and color. Sadly, while I would absolutely love to have jeans in all styles and colors (there are just so many options!), I do have to stick to my budget and start with the most versatile basics first. Then, once my ‘ideal closet’ is built, I can add more jeans to my wardrobe in fun trendy styles and colors if I choose to. So here are my most versatile and most worn jean styles in the closet:
Skinnies in Blue, Black and White
Skinny jeans are great pants for every body type. Whether you are curvy or athletic, skinny jeans with clean washes (in blue, black, and white) and well placed pockets make the jeans flattering and easy to dress up or down. I always roll them at the hem to balance hips and hight.
Black skinny jeans can be easily dressed up for work and a night out, or dressed down for a casual look.
Living in times when ‘no white after Labor Day’ is no longer true is very exciting. White skinnies are now staples for both my summer and winter looks!
Blue Flare Jeans
So thankful to the 70s for flares! I admire flares for their free spirit and relaxed attitude. I always wear them long with ultra high heels or wedges to elongate my legs and add hight to my petite frame. And here are three different looks I put together using flares.
Ripped Boyfriend Jeans
Boyfriend jeans are classics, ripped boyfriend jeans are classics with a ‘cool’ factor. Ripped jeans can be versatile and easily transform the look from day to night by simply adding colorful or metallic heels.
Now it’s your turn. What are your favorite jean styles and colors?
