Casual Wear: Running Errands in Style

May 21, 2015

Kate Spade wool sweater (similar great basic wool sweater by J.Crew here ~ sorry, could not find one with the bow!), Anthropologie Tulle Midi skirt (in grey, pink, and white here and similar in black by Bailey 44 here), Steve Madden ‘Chopur-R’ Espadrille Flat, Tory Burch Shopper bag, Michelle ‘Deco’ watch, Swarovski Lunar pierced earrings

When I am off to run errands and want to wear something comfortable, I often have to remind myself that casual does not mean sweats, and that being comfortable does not mean I cannot add a bit of fun and sparkle to my outfit. It, honestly, takes very little effort to put something simple and fun on and be presentable. In my casual wear, I usually rely on the basic pieces hanging in the wardrobe. I wear these basics all the time ~ they match almost everything in my wardrobe. Sometimes, though, as I pick a garment, I look for a small detour from a classic look, like a bow on a basic sweater, or tule fabric of a black midi skirt, or lots of sparkle on slip-on sneakers… Easy, comfortable, and fun.
