Cardigans are probably some of the most useful garments of a woman’s wardrobe ~ they can be layered over tank tops or t-shrits for cooler evenings, paired with pencil skirts or dress pants during work weeks, and worn with jeans or dresses for relaxed weekends. Every year designers reinvent classic cardigans, and come up with different shapes and styles, and my favorite cardigan style this Summer is the floor length cardigan. It is a funky and perfect layer for weekend outfits. I was looking for such a long cardigan for a while, but every time I would try one on, something wasn’t wright, either length, or style, or fabric… and when I saw this one on the the summer sales racks at Anthropologie (for the half price!), I loved everything about it ~ soft knit fabric, ankle length, and relaxed style. So perfect for weekend outfits!

To balance the floor length of this cardigan, I wore it with shorts and wedges. Bonus:  I don’t think I would ever have guts to wear shorts with wedges if I did not have this cardigan! Fun, fun, fun.
