Fall Wardrobe Basics I wear Year After Year

November 9, 2015

Every fashion season, as the colors, textures, fabrics, and silhouettes change, I get so excited and eager to come up with the next season’s wardrobe. I love shopping for a few pieces to refresh my wardrobe basics and add a trendy piece or two. Today’s outfit is a perfect example of a mix of basics and trends – I have been wearing these jeans and boots forever and will continue wearing them as long as they last. This Madewell turtleneck sweater I added to my wardrobe this year. I chose cabernet color because it is a hot (and pretty basic too!) color this season, and I can get a good use out of this sweater as long as the it lasts. My trendy piece is the floppy hat which I LOVE ~ it has attitude, adds edge to an outfit, and hides bad hair days (three in one!). And then there are my retro pink glasses that add a fun and eclectic vibe to the look. In the end, all the pieces add up into an easy, comfortable, and very fun outfit.

On the side note, I love the fall/winter holiday season and am so excited about upcoming celebrations and friends and family gatherings. But every year the holidays pass too fast (Halloween has already come and gone, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner!). So this year, I promised myself to hold on to the heartwarming moments and try to slow down  my pace and maybe even slow down the time a little. Do you ever feel that holiday time passes crazy fast? Do you ever feel that holiday time passes crazy fast? Please, if  you have some tricks up your sleeves on how to slow down a bit, please leave your comments below. Would so love to hear from you!!
