I cannot believe that Spring is here (well, almost!), and while it’s been raining cats and dogs here lately, the weather will clear up soon, which means it’s time to get my wardrobe ready for sunny spring days and the bright blue sky. My wardrobe is pretty basic with a few Spring 2016 inspired pieces, and specifically, florals and pastels. And this Topshop floral dress fits my spring style perfectly. It’s a mix of my absolutely favorite details ~ rose quarts and serene colors (hot colors of spring 2016!), ruffles, and florals, of course.
Falling in love with the dress does not make it a practical purchase, and I originally thought that the dress is not very versatile. I was wrong, though. Its thin fabric makes it easy to wear as a dress, of course, but also as a top (as seen below) or bottom. Yes, tucking the dress into my skinny jeans makes it another hot spring item, a floral top! Both looks I can wear to run errands or grab a cup of coffee with a girlfriend (something we all should do on a regular basis to keep our days more balanced, pleasant, and meaningful).
Finally, I wanted to mention my new Cupcakes and Cashmere faux leather moto jacket in the light pastel ‘bone’ color. I must say that I have never really considered buying a moto jacket in a color other than black, but in this modern world, as we expand our horizons and become more comfortable breaking old fashion rules, playing with unorthodox styles, combinations, and colors is something we all should do.
