I used to think that fashion has nothing to do with work life balance, but lately I’ve been realizing that our clothes textures and colors like cozy browns for cooler weather affect our senses by bringing warmth and comfort into our busy lives. Now, when I think of fall colors and shades, I don’t usually think ‘pink’, but last year I absolutely fell in love with this Anthropologie cardigan (it looks so great with everything!). Then I found this Topshop dress splashed with a floral print and had to have it. I mean, to me flowers and shades of pink represent softness and femininity, my favorite qualities. But the reality is that in my daily life I am a super organized, hard working mom with lots of responsibilities, who does not have much time to be soft and girly, at least not at any time between 5AM and 9PM… except for maybe a lunch date with my man, or coffee time with my girlfriends, or a short walk in the park. Yup! I think I just reminded myself of the ways how to make the quality of my days better and more pleasant. It is amazing that after so many years of working on work life balance, I still forget! And who knew that a floral dress and cozy pink cardigan could remind me of keeping up the work life balance thing? That’s power of fashion for you!
