Monday is here, and instead of dreading it, I am looking at it as an opportunity to wear a nice outfit, put on pretty makeup, and enjoy the positive moments that can be easy to take for granted. Positive attitude is a powerful tool! And now, as California weather gifted us with another gorgeous sunny day, I am wearing this Ann Taylor little white dress to work. This dress is one of those timeless classic basics that I’ll be wearing for years until it’s worn out. Love the Chanel-esque fabric texture and fringe detail of this little white dress. And so that I don’t take the spotlight off the fringe center front seam, I don’t wear big necklaces with this dress. I complement it with my white frame sunglasses instead (white frame sunglasses are another absolutely timeless item that I have been wearing and enjoying for many years!).
To cover my sleeveless arms and keep myself warm, I brought along my old Zara bomber jacket which happened to have a somewhat similar fabric texture and big red flower print. (I posted the pic with the bomber jacket on Instagram here!) While there is a matching jacket for this little white dress, I feel that together with jacket, the fringe detail on the dress loses its effect, so I prefer pairing the dress with a simple white cardigan here or a jacket here.
I cannot believe how much I’ve said about a simple little dress, but I’ll stop here hehe. What are you wearing today? Please tag me in your Instagram pictures (@splashofteal) so I can comment!
