This season, as I started checking out fashion trends and planning my wardrobe updates and accents, I was so excited to find fringe everywhere! There is something so liberating about fringe hanging off the hemlines of skirts, jackets, dresses, hats, and, of course, bags. I love how fringe moves as our body moves, how it tries to break away as wind blows, and how it never twists or tangles as we go along our day.
For this Spring’s wardrobe update, I bought a Rebecca Minkoff fringe handbag. It is a perfect fit for my favorite outings around town ~ hangouts with friends, visits to artsy or antique shops and galleries, flea markets, and mom and pop restaurants. This time I wore the bag with a pair of white boyfriend jeans, a loose top which I tucked in only in front, wedges, and a straw hat. To tie the outfit together with its artsy feel, I added a big tribal inspired motif belt. We shot these photos in Downtown Huntington Beach where the atmosphere is filled with the free spirit of surfers and artists and inspires the rest of us to take things easy and enjoy the moment. So I let my hair down, put on my straw hat, and felt good.
