When I dress for work, I always pick outfits that make me feel put together and uplifted. But when it comes to weekend outfits, especially during the winter months, I prefer to wrap myself in throws or cozy knits. This week I’ve been working very long hours, and feel like I’ve spent a little bit too much time in skirts, button-downs, and jackets. So this weekend my choice of clothing is jeans, a sweater, cozy cardigan, and comfy booties, definitely one of my favorite weekend outfits. My Saturday plans are to go for a walk with my boys and then hang out with friends. Then I am looking forward to my nightly reading time with Alex (for the past few years we’ve been reading books every night, my favorite part of the day, every day! Alex is now 11, and the current choice of book is ‘Fish’ by Gregory Mone).
Anyway, back to the outfit. You know that I am a big proponent of basics and that I love creating different style outfits using the same garments. While this Anthropologie cardigan makes a great comfy and cozy outfit and is perfect for a SoCal winter day, I also love wearing it with a floral dress and boots to get a sweet and romantic look. I also wore this Madewell sweater with black skinnies and a floppy hat for a modern edgy look. And you must have seen me tons of times in these flare jeans (here, here, here, here, and here hehe).
Oh, and one more thing, I accessorized by adding a faux fur pompom clip to my Louie Vuitton ‘speedy’ bag. Sense of humor in fashion is always a good trend to adopt.
