Lucky Brand Silk tank, TopShop Tube skirt (similar by Leith here, and I love the updated TopShop style here), Zara Boyfriend blazer (similar by Zara here), Muumuu Biker Jacket, old (similar here, also love this Topshop faux leather jacket here), MiuMiu pumps, old (similar by BCBGeneration here), Michael by Michael Kors oversized sunglasses (similar updated style here), Ann Taylor striped tassel scarf (also love these scarfs here)
Being petite, I always thought that I could never wear tube skirts, but once I adopted the motto that everything will look good on me as long as I have the right attitude, I realized that wearing midi tube skirts with high heels (never flats!) actually makes me look taller and slimmer. Ever since, this TopShop skirt has became one of the most used skirts in my wardrobe ~ I just love the skirt’s cool and sexy attitude. If I have a long day (between work, lunch, and happy hour), I often wear my tube skirt and then switch or take off jacket to achieve a different look – refreshing my outfit and re-applying blush and lipgloss gives me a boost of energy and helps me switch from work mode to fun mode ~I don’t have to (and don’t want to!) go to a happy hour hangout or a cocktail party in a business jacket!
For the office hours, wear silk tank + tube skirt + pumps + boyfriend blazer. The look is soft and feminine and businesslike at the same time.
For lunch break, take the jacket off and soak in the sun a little ~ wear silk tank + tube skirt + pumps.
For happy hour, switch the blazer to a biker jacket, which gives a little bit of an edge to the outfit and contrasts well with a feminine silk tank ~ wear silk tank + tube skirt + pumps + biker jacket.
For the walk home, as the weather cools down, a fun tassel scarf should keep you warm ~ wear silk tank + tube skirt + pumps + biker jacket + scarf.
