I just want to check in with you guys today and be open and honest. While this space is mostly a creative outlet (and I love that!), but sometimes, unexpected things happen, and we get thrown off. Right now, I’m in that place.
Between getting ready for a Vegas trip for my man’s birthday, prepping Alex’s stuff for a weekend with a babysitter, dealing with clients, flying to Salt Lake City for a day, and trying to put together a few blogposts for this week and next Monday, I now have to move out of my house for an indefinite period of time. Our neighbor’s pipe broke, and flooded our entire house. We put all these loud de-humidifiers throughout the house, packed our boxes, and are now have to stay at a hotel until they renovate all our flooring and bathrooms. Even though I know that it this is kind of a blessing (new flooring!) in disguise, these few days have felt like a nightmare. I feel defeated, anxious, and drained. Having to re-work my whole schedule, and fit in this crazy situation wasn’t how I was planning to spend this week. I know that in the long run this is not a big deal, but I can’t help having this feeling of being out of it, and I am so grateful for my amazing family and friends for their help and support.
Thank you for letting me vent. I want to be transparent here, and I love having this space so much that I felt it would be disingenuous for me to just show the good parts. Bad days happen to all of us, and so I wanted to share a not-so-colorful splash in my life at the moment. If you’re having one right now too, know you aren’t alone. Here’s to moving past the bad days!
