Work Outfit: Pencil Skirt and a Biker Jacket

June 9, 2015

Anthropology Lilith buttondown Zara Jackquard tube skirt, Muumuu Biker Jacket, old (similar herealso love this Topshop faux leather jacket here), Belt (a few great options here), Forever 21 faux leather tote, Miu Miu pumps (similar by Kate Spade here), Michael by Michael Kors oversized sunglasses (similar updated style here)

Biker jackets are not always appropriate work-wear, but if paired with an otherwise a classic look, it is possible to pull off. A conservative yet chic pencil skirt paired with a plain white shirt and black belt tone the biker jacket down. I mean, when a woman wears a pencil skirt, showing her curves, who’s looking at the jacket?! Pencil skirts exude confidence and, inspite of the fact that they force us to take smaller steps when we walk, pencil skirts are a must have garment in every woman’s wardrobe.

Finally, I can’t not to mention that this is already the fourth look I posted wearing my Anthro white blouse ~ another mast have! (The other three looks are herehere, and here.) This time I wore it with a belt to accentuate feminine curves.

Great combination. I love how the biker jacket toughens up the skirt and the skirt makes the jacket more sophisticated.
